General Hospital will air LIVE in May!
Following on the heels of that fabulous black and white flashback episode to celebrate the show’s 52nd Anniversary on April 1st, General Hospital is taking another daring leap in May, as the show will broadcast not one but TWO live episodes!
On May 15th and 18th, the show will air live from Los Angeles, taking a page from NBC’s Sound of Music and Peter Pan. This is a fantastic opportunity to see the full acting chops of the cast – from seasoned professionals like Anthony Geary and Michelle Stafford, to some of the younger performers who have a chance to make their mark in modern soap opera history! It has been years since a daytime drama has been shown live on network television, and 40 years since the format moved to pre-taping.
No storyline details have been revealed yet, but we will see Nina (Michelle Stafford) – and stay tuned as more information develops!
.@MauriceBenard's got a little secret. #GH is going LIVE May 15th and 18th! Mark your calendars!

“Taking such an iconic show as General Hospital live for two days is both exhilarating and risky,” said executive producer and head writer Frank Valentini. “I am enormously proud of our cast, crew and staff for all their tireless dedication and hard work that will be leading up to this daytime television event. It’s live television and absolutely anything can happen, but that is what’s fun about this and we’re absolutely up to the challenge.”
I can’t wait..
